Refuge for Women went through some challenges at the end of 2015. We lost some staff and were forced to reduce our beds for trafficking victims for a few months. During this season of testing, a new location opened for Refuge and another house was given to the ministry in another part of the state. Next week, we will have residents moving into this new house in Northern Kentucky and it will serve as one of our Third Phase houses in the program. We are excited for these possibilities and new partnerships that are being formed in this new community!
As excited as we are about our new houses, it is difficult seeing the original Refuge for Women house sit empty. This is where it all began for us and the first residents were served. That is why we are so excited to announce that we will be reopening this house in July! We will hire a full-time program director in June and approximately 7 positions around her. Please keep an eye on the website and follow us on Facebook if you are interested in being part of the team!
