Changes at Refuge for Women in 2014

2014 is going to be a bigger year than we have ever experienced at Refuge for Women.  There will be 3 houses in Central Kentucky for guests to transition through on their journey of healing and pursuing dreams.  Phase 1 will be a "healing" center that addresses hurts and pains of the past.  Guests will work on this healing journey with the Lord and in community with others.  Trust will be regained that people who care do still exist. Guests will learn how loved they are by our Father in Heaven.  It will be a safe place for escape from the destructive environments they have been lived in.
Phase 2 will be our new house and it will be a "job readiness" center.  Guests will stay 3 months and focus on personality, conflict management, interviewing skills, resumes, and more.  An entire team will be committed to walking alongside of each guest while they implement the new perspective they have gained while in the ministry.  Each woman will leave phase 2 with a job and ready to soar.  Phase 2 is located in a safe environment like phase 1 on lots of land in a rural setting.
Phase 3 and 4 are located in the hub of businesses and this home was given to Refuge for Women about 4 months ago.  Guests will live in this home and help pay utilities and other living expenses while working full time jobs.  They will continue the healing process while finishing classes that are required as part of Refuge for Women curriculum.  They will enjoy community while experiencing more independence and integration into society.
Refuge for Women will be able to house 18 guests at a time between the 3 houses.  It is going to be an exciting year in 2014.
