Webster’s says the definition of reconciliation is; To become friendly with (someone) after estrangement or to re-establish friendly relations between (two or more people).

Over the weekend, we came together to celebrate with Jessica, one of our Refuge graduates.  Her 8 year old daughter Lamyia Paris moved from Detroit, Michigan (their hometown) to Kentucky.  Turning 8 in February but having no real birthday party in MI, we threw her a “Welcome to Kentucky and Happy “8th” Birthday” party to celebrate her life, and the reconciliation of mother and daughter.  God makes all things new and Jessica is a new creation in Christ Jesus!  The courts awarded Lamyia to Jessica and now restoration and healing have begun!  Lamyia will grow up knowing that Jesus is Master of their house, her Abba Father and her Lord and Savior!  Jessica’s determination to “heal and change” her lifestyle and choices for the sake of Lamyia have paid off.  How sweet it is to see “reconciliation” and God doing new things in their lives!

“and through him God reconciled

everything to himself.

He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth

by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.”  Colossians 1:20
