The jewels of heaven come from the dark, dirty places, yet they grace His kingdom’s court. They have been pressed down and crushed by the pressures of this world. But by his grace, they are transformed by His Spirit through the hardship into beautiful gems. He calls them out of the darkness and captivity to heal their broken hearts. He cuts away their rough exterior to reveal the beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the Spirit of Despair. They become a display of His splendor. They become instruments in His hands who rebuild, restore, and repair places long devastated in the lives of others. Jesus said those who are forgiven little, love little, and those who are forgiven much, love much. These are His precious jewels. I know because I am one of those He rescued and transformed from that dirty darkness into His marvelous light.
