Isaiah 57:18-19 “I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord,“and I will heal him.”
This last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to go back home on a mission with God, by coming alongside someone as they were “coming up to breathe” in life. In doing so I thoughtI would make it my personal mission to lead others to that same breath of fresh air! God of course, was more focused on His work with me, as He usually is:) He gave more consideration for my hearts deepest desire... which is deeper intimacy with those God gave me to love.
One week turned into three weeks of revelations, conversations with various families of mine, searching out my heritage, understanding cycles passed down generationally, visiting graves of friends and family I watched pass, and even begging others to join me in praying over the man who fed my soul crushing addictions and sold me into industry of sex, in this very city. Overall I spent this time getting deeper with with God as I strived to get deeper with others.
Why open all these things back up I ask? Because it is the desire of my Lord for me to turn to Him for complete restoration and dependence. It is His desire to use these things so I might carry His message of grace, so others might not perish in their sin or denial. I’m moving beyond superficial love and striving to understand sacrificial, honest intimate love, a love that I only could have come to know because of the words written in this poem.
Today I hope you all enjoy the love in this poem I found. God Bless
If you never felt pain, Then how would you know that I am a Healer?
If you never had to pray, How would you know that I am a Deliverer?
If you never had a trial, How could you know that I am a Savior?
If you never felt sadness, How would you know that I am a Comforter?
If you never made a mistake, How would you know that I am a Forgiver?
If you knew all, How would you know that I will answer your questions?
If you never were in trouble, How would you know that I will come to your rescue?
If you never were broken, Then how would you know that I can make you whole?
If you never had a problem, How would you know that I can solve them?
If you never had any suffering, Then how would you know what I went through?
If you never went through the fire, Then how would you become pure?
If I gave you all things, How would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, How would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, Then how would you learn to depend on me?
If your life was perfect, Then what would you need me for?
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
