Central Kentucky

city director (full-time)

The top priorities of the City Director are fundraising, working effectively with the Program Director and with the local Board of Directors. This position will create and execute a ‘funding the plan’ strategy to open and operate a local Refuge for Women safe house. The successful candidate will recruit members for and lead the local board of directors and work closely with the board chairman and oversee local operations in accordance with Refuge for Women’s policies and mission. The City Director is responsible for establishing a local infrastructure, staffing, community relationships, financial partners and volunteer base. In addition, this person will oversee staffing and administration of the core leadership team, including a program director, development coordinator, communications coordinator, office administrator, volunteer and prayer coordinators to meet Refuge for Women goals. Successful candidate will have strong networking skills and an established professional and/or community network. This person will have strong written and verbal skills, servant leadership style as well as project management and teamwork skills. Qualifications include 5 years of management experience, fundraising or sales experience strongly preferred, a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of ministry experience. Knowledge of the 12 step process of recovery and the damaging effects of the sex industry is required.

EVENING/WEEKEND SHIFT LEADER (PART-TIME)

The Shift Leader works in the safe house during the assigned shift to maintain a safe healing environment for residents and provide consistent operations by upholding the program model and resident guidelines. The successful applicant will maintain strong leadership in any situation, including conflict resolution, crisis response and handling difficult relational dynamics. This person will communicate effectively with residents and hold them accountable as they progress through the program and learn successful life skills. Knowledge of addict behaviors and trauma is helpful. Familiarity with 12-step or similar healing and recovery program (e.g. Celebrate Recovery) is desired.
