Refuge for Women South Florida has partnered with the board of directors of The Sarah Movement.

This merger is moving forward with momentum and purpose. The board’s original vision to serve adult victims of Human Trafficking in a home environment is growing to fruition through Refuge for Women South Florida.

”Originally knowing we wanted to serve women because we felt a huge press that ‘there is no age-limit to redemption’. We have expanded beyond women coming out of Human Trafficking due to past works finding the boundaries of bondage are vague and healing is being called for all women choosing to lead new lives away from the sex industry and exploitation.”

Refuge for Women is building their core leadership team in 2014. Government paperwork for a 501(c)3 non-profit organization will be processed this summer and fundraising efforts will be conducted throughout the Fall and the plan is to open the doors of a safe house early 2015. Olivia Turner is the city director and can be contacted below if interested in involvement with the start up process.

  • Partnership to provide space for a working office and monthly conference room.
  • A 3-to-4 bedroom home in a safe environment that Refuge for Women can utilize at minimal cost.
  • $100,000 of operational dollars will need to located prior to opening the home.
  • The estimated annual cost of operating a safe house in South FL will be $300,000.
