CARRIE MILLER, MA – PROGRAM DIRECTOR  

 

Carrie is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with Advanced Certification in Substance Abuse and Eating Disorder Therapy. She has a passion for empowering women to live a life they love! Carrie was led into ministry almost ten years ago and continues to pursue freedom for the captives through leading women to be dependent on God and not man. She and her husband, Chad, lead the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at their church and are blessed with two teenage sons who they are raising to be warriors for Christ. She loves to read, spend time with her family on the farm, and enjoys distance running and cupcakes.


KATHRYN TOWLES – DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT/VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

 

Kathryn was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Asbury University in 2013 with a degree in Social Work and a passion for working with women in the sex industry. After graduating, she went on staff with Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Kentucky. It was here Kathryn found an interest in development and the non-profit world. She has loved seeing how God has brought her desire to help hurting women and interest in development together at Refuge for Women.


Michelle Harrison -  Therapist

Michelle has a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She also earned her LAPC in the state of Georgia and is pursuing licensure in the state of Kentucky. She will complete her certification as an Addiction Counselor by the end of 2016. Michelle and her husband, Tim, have a non-profit, Grace to Glory, which specializes in counseling, life coaching, retreats and employee care. Her passion is to help individuals break free from the things that bind, them equip them to renew their minds with the truth about who god is, and to grow in their identity in Christ. She and Tim have 3 sons. 


Stacey Erne - program director (Phase 3)

 

Stacey graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Social Work and a secondary major in Psychology. Because of her passion for serving others she felt called to be involved with a ministry that focused on restoring lives and bringing people to Christ. Stacey has been involved with Refuge for Women since October 2014 and loves seeing how the ministry has grown.
